UnstoppableLeaks submitted a new resource:

AntiModDisable - Bringing mod control back to the client

AntiModDisable is a Forge "hack" that aims to prevent Forge servers from detecting or disabling mods.

It is currently disguised as a sprint mod to prevent admins from figuring out that you are using this cheat.

It currently is in beta, and lacks many features as of now.

This mod currently disables the ability to disable:
-BetterPvP/Xaeros Minimap
-VoxelMap

-Prevent disabling mods that use plugin channels
-Configure if Forge packets should be sent...

The Mixin Update

This update protects (prevents servers from disabling) the following mods:
-Damage Indicators
-Schematica
-5zig

It also totally revamps the mod, turning it into an injection mod with Sponge's mixin. This means that it will no longer show up on the mod list sent to the server.

With mixin, things like spoofing Forge and editing what mod ids to send will become reality very soon...

Until yesterday, I was unaware that Forge runs its own handlers to allow client authors to listen to plugin channels. Well, this update fixes all the mods that would have been disabled because of this.

couldn't you patch this too with this mod, to make Vape more undetectable?

couldn't you patch this too with this mod, to make Vape more undetectable?

I probably would be able to patch this, but there is a slight chance that it might not work if Vape uses its own packet listener.
This will be included in the next update (2.0).

I know that there are people out there that don't believe that spoofing Forge/modifing modlist can be possible, but in less than 10 minutes, the truth will come out.

The Long Awaited FORGE UPDATE

NOTE: You need to run the mod the first time, and then go to %minecraftdir%/config/simplesprint.cfg to configure what you want the server to know. The default config WILL NOT EDIT THE MODLIST NOR WILL IT SPOOF VANILLA.

you should def buy the plugin instead of waiting for the leak to be updated. anyway the forge client's netcode is so different from the vanilla client that I will most likely be able to repeatedly patch this exploit.. assuming you find a workaround to the fix I implemented earlier today

You are right about that, but remember that spoofing vanilla is not the only thing this mod does. It can adjust the modlist that is sent and still tell the server that it is running Forge.

And you are absolutely right that there are ways to detect this mod when vanilla spoof is enabled.

I know, but version 1.3 disregards the moslist sent by this mod.

You have to state your error first. Is the mod throwing an error in the log? Is liteloader crashing?

That's the issue. The client does not crash or something, it just won't run the plugin.

Changelog:

-Patched another way a server could retrieve the modlist
-Patched a bunch of ways to detect Forge (when vanilla enabled)
-(1.9+) fixed an incorrectly named file causing crashes (thanks master4life)

This mod should now work fully. If you find a method to detect the mod (with or without vanilla spoof) or bypass modlist spoofing, please let me know.
