React is a performance plugin created to fix instabilities created on the fly by excessive lag from many causes. React fixes the problem at the source. React does not simply limit everything and purge entities on a timer.

React samples values, and uses logarithmic judgement based on all of them to determine what the lag source is. Once React understands the problem, we can correctly fix the problem! Please view below for more detail on the structure of React.

Auto update is now enabled! No need to install updates to many (or one) servers! Simply let react handle it!

For React to correctly understand the server, and how it handles itself, along with a base ground of performance, React samples several server values. For example, one of them is the Ticks Per Second.



However, this cannot work on its own with just one. You can view all of the samples by clicking samplers above. These samples are all configurable and can be tweaked to your liking if you want, but they work just fine by default. You can find all of the books about how React samples things with /re help.


React is open, meaning you can see in the eyes of React. You can see everything react is monitoring with a beautiful, yet functional hud. This is achieved by using the action bar and title messages. You can view the TPS, memory, chunks, and much more. More on Monitoring





You can also view real-time performance graphing via in-game maps. This is done by drawing raw data onto the maps. You can view the TPS, Memory, and identify lag spikes.


This map is LIVE! You can see how it reacts with whatever the server is up against at the moment. You can also see that the lag spikes have a static-like material to them. This is animated to indicate that that was a lag spike.


PaperSpigot & Spigot Timings! You can now view timings ingame via books, or getting a list of plugin timings with /react plugins. You can also configure react to warn you about high timings.





You can also connect to your server with react via its client. Just launch the jar file as an application and connect to it. Turned off by default, simply configure! WORK IN PROGRESS!







Once react understands the problem, it will use "reactions" to fix the problem automatically. For example, if the server is lagging because there is a lot of Redstone activity (more than normal), then react will try to freeze the Redstone. Many things, including mobs, entities, drops, liquids, Redstone, and much more are detected and fixed automatically. More on Reactions.

React is highly configurable. Every sample, reaction and aspect of React has a configuration. This allows you to disable pieces of React to further make it yours. This also makes it work exactly how you want it to. For more information on configuration, click either Samples or Reactions up top, as they are all fully documented.
