Natural Selection is a plugin based upon improving the base survival mechanic in Minecraft, which is highly important for Minecraft servers. It features new enhancements like more realism, hardcore improvements, skills

The features range from small additions to massive, highly configurable additions which highly improve the quality in survival, and enhance its aspects, for example, the xp system & skill tree.

These features are a mixture of slight RPG elements, realism, hardcore elements and general quality of life improvements.

You can use Natural Selection to enhance survival the way you want, enabling or disabling certain features to fit your server and build a more engaging experience for your players.

Vault (soft-dependency)

If you want to use the vault economy for the plugin, you need to have Vault.

If you are using version: 1.9-1.12, please go to the version list and download the 1.12 version!

FEATURES

There are currently a bundle of features which improve the hardcore element, realism and bring forward small RPG-like features. These are each configurable to your liking and in turn will create your own survival improvements, which will fit your servers liking.

⊙ CUSTOMISATION / CONFIG FEATURES
World support, allowing you to disable the plugin in certain worlds;
Version Checker;
Vault economy support.

⊙ BLOCK BREAK DAMAGE
When a player breaks a block with their hand, they can end up being damaged. Can be configured highly.

⊙ BONE BREAKING
Players can end up breaking their bones through a variety of damage types, such as falling or entity attacks. These can lead to potion effects & more damage, and can have specific settings if they're holding a specific item. all configurable.

⊙ PLAYER BLEEDING
Players can end up bleeding when taking damage from entities. Bleeding leads to potion effects, damage and a has specific settings per item setting, which is all configurable.

⊙ ENHANCED EXPLOSION DAMAGE
Players can end up having their item knocked out of their hand if caught in an explosion, and can deal more damage than normal. All configurable.

⊙ LOOT TABLES
There are two types of loot tables: Mob Loot Table, Block Loot Table.
The mob loot table allows you to set any mob to drop custom items that you list in the loot table file.
The block loot table allows you to set any block to drop custom items that you list in the loot table file.
These drops take place alongside the vanilla drop.

⊙ STARVATION DAMAGE
Players can end up starving, which means they could end up having effects take place depending on what their food level is. All configurable.

⊙ GRAVESTONES
If a player dies, and they have permission, then they can end up dropping a gravestone which holds all of their dropped items. These gravestones will dissappear after a set time and have multiple options, alongside a list. Highly configurable.

⊙ CUSTOM SHOP
You can configure your own shop in Natural Selection which supports the custom currency in the plugin which is, by default, Affinity.

⊙ AFFINITY XP
A custom currency used in Natural Selection for buying and upgrading skills, shop purchases and more. Can be renamed to your liking. Affinity can be gained through many methods such as mining, fishing and killing. All configurable. This can be replaced by Vault economy in the config.yml!

⊙ SKILLS
Natural Selection has many skills which can be used by players, there are 5 offensive skills, 4 defensive skills and 3 utility skills. These are each highly configurable. Not only this, but there are skill slots, which are also configurable. Many of these skills also also support mobs, not just players.



⊙ PLAYER HEALTH SETTINGS
You can set a players default health, whether through a normal maxHealth setting or via permission, allowing certain players/groups to have more/less health.

⊙ ARMOUR KNOCKING
Players can have their armour knocked off by entities by chance, this is configurable.

⊙ BACKPACKS
Players can, if they have permission, use a backpack via command which is configurable.

⊙ STATISTICS
Players can, if they have permission, view their statistics. These statistics include: players killed, mobs killed, fish caught, blocks broken, blocks placed and their death count.

All features here can be toggled and configured to your servers liking.
