Although TextCosmetics' GUI, the Chat Color Selector, is very user-friendly, sometimes you will want to change your chat color by command. You can accomplish this with ease by executing the chat color command, followed by whatever chat color code you want to use for your chat color.

Select a chat color for any player
Not only can you select a chat color for yourself, but you can also select a chat color for any player. By using the Chat Color Selector on any player, you get the power to control everyone's chat color.

Did you find a player with an awesome chat color, and want to know what chat color they're using? By executing the chat color information command, you get an instant report on the details of any player's chat color.

Charge for chat colors with ColorCredits or your in-game economy currency
TextCosmetics' comes with its own unique type of currency: ColorCredits. This type of currency is specifically designed for the use of charging players for changing their chat color.



But if you prefer not to implement ColorCredits as another currency into your server, simply allow TextCosmetics to integrate with your server's economy by using Vault. Or, allow every chat color to be free.

Change the name of any chat color to a preferred name
"Aqua" or "Cyan?" You get to decide. While there are names for each chat color by default, we encourage you to customize the names of the chat colors to whatever you like.

Set a maximum amount of colors and formats allowed in a chat color for each player
You can limit how many colors and formats a player is allowed to have in their chat color by assigning them the "maximum" permission. For example, if a player has the permission assigned to them that allows 4 chat colors, then they can have 1 chat color, 2 chat colors, 3 and 4 chat colors, but no more than 4 chat colors.

We believe that every part of a plugin should be configurable. That's why we went to the extreme and made every part of TextCosmetics configurable - even the prefix.

For example, you can change the word "color" to "colour" - or any other word, for that matter.

2. Learn how to configure TextCosmetics.
   • You can modify every little detail of TextCosmetics. If you need help with editing TextCosmetics, check out TextCosmetics' Configuration Wiki. If you still need help, please contact us; we're always happy to help.
3. Assign TextCosmetics' permissions to your players.
   • Every chat color and chat format has their own permission. So in order for your players to use a chat color or chat format, you will need to give your players access to it.
4. Ask us questions, if you have any.

5. Leave TextCosmetics a review.
