How to hide an underground base

On my private smp, my friends and I have made a deal to only construct bases 1k blocks away from spawn. (so 4 square km). Thus I need to build underground. But my bases keep getting found, usually by complete accident, because of the little build area.

So now I turn to you guys. What is the most bulletproof, insane, (but survival practical way), to hide an underground base. Hacks are of no concern, as I'm 100% sure that my friends would not hack, and I have paper anti xray enabled.

I'm specifically talking about the entrances and exits. How can I make sure that even if a player saw me exiting the base, they would have no clue how to get inside. I have considered ender pearl stasis chambers for entering, but I can't figure out a way to leave the base without leaving behind a tunnel or something.
