Hypixel supports two types of gamemodes well: Relatively simple modes that don't need a lot of ongoing developer attention (e.g. Bedwars) as well as complex modes that may require ongoing developer attention while at the same time growing its user base and therefore financing that attention (e.g. Skyblock).
