oAUTH for registration??

I am working with a developer to create a front end for our gaming community that will verify users against our XenForo database to make sure they have a valid account (banned users would be kept from running the front end software, for example), but we also want to allow the front end to manage registrations for XF in the event that a person doesn't already have an account.

What we have in mind is displaying a copy of our actual XF registration screen and pushing that information to XF...
