not seeing any player chat messages

recently, i've encountered an odd bug in which i cannot see any player chat messages on hypixel. joining messages and death alerts ect ect (anything not from a player) are showing fine, but i cant see any player messages. this is consistant (ive tried restarting mc, restarting lunar, using vanilla, disabling lunar chat mod, /togglechat on hypixel, vanilla settings but nothing seems to fix it.

I enabled ign ping noises and dm pings and could still hear the notification, but could not see any...
