How to message someone while in a party?

So i'm in a party and there's a guy in the skyblocks lobby who wants to trade for miner leggings. I want to trade so i message him but oop!, "you cannot message this player."
how to change from party channel talk to the regular lobby channel talk.
(party channel talk is /chat p)
