Definition of "warm"

I've always thought the word "warm" meant slightly hot and lukewarm means neither hot or cold, but my friend swears he's never seen it used the word "warm" way, and that he's never even heard of the word lukewarm. I'm wondering if this might be region based, cause we live in different areas. So reply with your answer, and if you're comfortable with it, say the general area that you live. (maybe a state or province)

I know this is kind of useless, but I'm curious.
