Can someone help me work on my style front end changing

Hi everyone i am looking for somebody to help me change home page system, I would like to get a category as a small banner link with all the sub directories hidden until you click the banner, then open all sub forums in a new page.

I am not sure if this can be done with this new type of style.

Please let me know if you can help with this issue.
